Suddenly, my mind cleared when I saw the grinning faces of the competitors, taking their places at the starting line.
I understood immediately. The most important thing was to have fun, not to feel nervous during a joyous event like sports day. Even at the end of the race, I saw all the competitors thumping one another on the backslaughing together. When it was my turn to race, I felt as tranquil as the still waves of the sea. I glanced around the stadium and my eyes fell on the much-coveted gold medal that was on the prize table.
